Kevin grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago. He started playing soccer when he was 3 years old, where he spent more time picking dandelions on the field than actually playing the sport. Since then, his love for the game grew. Throughout his youth, he played for several different travel programs in the western suburbs including Wheaton Falcons, Wheaton Wings, Cruz Azul-Royal Midwest, and Kopian to name a few. He attended Northern Illinois University where he played, as well as acted as President and Asst. Coach for NIU Men's Club Soccer. Upon graduation, Kevin continued to play in many of the competitive men's leagues Chicagoland has to offer including Metro League, National League and Premier Soccer League. He currently resides in Barrington with his wife and 3 kids. He remains active in multiple men's leagues in the area and has finished 4 Ironman triathlon races. After searching for a healthy, enriching environment for his kids to play soccer, he came across Hawthorn Woods Elite soccer and realized how much value a good coach has to offer to these kids. It was then that he decided to obtain his coaching license and be a part of helping younger generations realize that they have more potential than picking dandelions on the soccer field.
